CMIT-North Supply List for 2016-2017 Academic Year

Below is a supply list organized by subject areas. These supplies will need to be replenished throughout the school year. Also, CMIT has new instructional staff and there may be a few more items to be added along the way.

This is a general list of materials. Individual teachers may ask for additional materials during the school year, as needed. We understand that students with special needs may have a modified list of materials.

Students are expected to bring ONLY a notebook or notepad and pencils/pens on the first two days of the school year.

Middle School Reading & Language Arts

3-ring binder

3-subject spiral notebooks with perforations

4 packs of medium-sized Post-its (any color)

Supply of loose-leaf paper, wide-ruled


Pens (blue or black ink for notes / purple or green and red for editing)

Highlighters (multi-color pack)

Colored pencils, skinny multi-color markers, glue stick (3)

Middle School Math

1 pack of index cards (3 x 5)

1 quad-ruled (graph paper style) notebook with minimum 200 sheets (can be found at Target, Staples, Walmart, or Office Depot)

2 sharpened pencils per class, eraser, pencil sharpener

Ruler, protractor, drawing compass

Dry erase markers

Folders (for portfolio)

TI-83+, TI-83 or TI-84 calculator (optional for middle school curricula required for Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II)

Pens or erasable pens are not allowed

Middle School Science

2 folders

1 notebook with 200 sheets

Pencils, blue/black pens, pencil sharpener, or lead for mechanical pencils, erasers

1 pack of colored pencils

1 pack of index cards

Middle School Social Studies

1 Composition book (60 to 100 pages)

Binder folder
