MDOT-TRAC visited CMIT-N High School with 10 engineers to present a “The Future is Now” activity which is about a future technology: Connected Automated Vehicle. The activity was offered to students who are in STEM teams. Around 50 students participated in the activity. In the first part, students received a short lecture about future technology and watched a video. In the second part, each group completed an interactive workbook with an engineer’s lead. Students learned about the technology of driverless vehicles. They found answers to their questions, and finally, they designed their own Automated Vehicle of the future!
The next part of the activity is to visit local motors to meet Olli (CAV).
