WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CLUB?
Improve school performance by applying things learned in school to achieving a large team oriented construction project and using the device in competition.

CLUB DESCRIPTION
Team Illusion is registered with FIRST Inspires to compete nationally in that organization’s annual competition.  During the off season we study robotic control systems, sensors, actuators, and robot vision.  We also work with other groups to assist them in their efforts and to improve our own understanding.  In January, FIRST announces the competition for the year, after which we have six weeks to design and build a remotely operated vehicle with some capacity for autonomous operation to compete in the event.  In April and May we compete to see if we can get into the national level competitions.  These are usually held in June.   This year the club is preparing to branch out and join the Solar Car Challenge in Texas.  This is a 2,000 mile road race held every two years.  Participants in this event will get a chance to learn a little bit about automotive engineering and also how to weld.

THE GOALS OF THE CLUB
