ONLINE SKILLS FOR BUSINESS

Online Skills for Business is a club that encourages students to tap into their talents by creating products that can be sold online. Club participants will learn how to sew on a sewing machine and create handmade products to be sold on Etsy.com They will also learn how to properly photograph and market their products across various social media platforms which will drive more sales. The profits earned from their website can be used toward future college expenses.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE CLUB?
The purpose of the club is to provide students with the skills to sell their handmade products online.  Currently, the club participants are learning how to sew and create products to sell on Etsy.com

THE GOALS OF THE CLUB
1 Goal #1 is for students to create at least 5 different categories of products for their website. 
2 Goal #2 is for students to learn how to photograph and market their products.
3 Goal #3 is for each student to generate a minimum of $500 in online sales.
SOCIAL MEDIA & WEBSITE: 

How can this club support the school website and the school`s social media accounts?

This club can share each students handcrafted work and individual websites across CMIT’s social media accounts. 
How can this club support school activities such as;

Spirit Week, BHM, Open House, CMIT club expo, etc?

 

This club can support school activities by creating products for BHM, Spirit Week etc.  A portion of the proceeds will go to CMIT.
CLUB RULES/EXPECTATIONS

List below the club norms and rules each member should follow: 

*This club will meet at least every other week.  Some months the club may meet every week depending upon the type of project and skills that are being taught.

*Each club member should meet on time and stay at least 1 hour.

*Each club member should practice the techniques learned from the previous week and apply them to their business.

* Each club member should remember to have fun and be proud of their work 🙂
